783 people entered the open-label lead-in. At week 36, 670 were randomized: 335 continued tirzepatide and 335 switched to placebo.
Why it matters
The main comparison starts at week 36. Keep that denominator and starting point attached to the finding. It should not become a head-to-head comparison with STEP 1.
